The 24-year-old defending champion has now reached his second consecutive Wimbledon final, shattering Djokovic’s hopes of clinching his 25th Grand Slam title.
The match was fiercely contested until the seventh game of the first set. Sinner’s fourth serve marked a turning point, allowing him to break Djokovic’s serve and take control. He maintained this momentum, winning the first set 6-4. Both players held their serves until 4-4, but Sinner’s break gave him the lead, which he solidified by holding his serve to win the set.
In the second set, Sinner again broke Djokovic’s serve, winning it 6-4. He continued his dominance, clinching the third set by the same score, thus sealing his place in the final.
Sinner will face Germany’s Alexander Zverev in the final on Sunday. Zverev advanced by defeating British player Arthur Fery in the first semifinal, winning 7-6(0), 6-2, 6-4, marking his first appearance in a Wimbledon final.
Zverev will have the chance to win his first Wimbledon title, while Sinner aims for back-to-back victories after defeating Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz in the 2025 final.
