New Delhi, March 7: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 on Friday. The results were published in PDF format on the official UPSC website, listing a total of 958 selected candidates along with their roll numbers.
Among the successful candidates is Shubham Kumar Mahato from Dhanbad, Jharkhand, who has triumphed in the Civil Services Examination for the third consecutive time. He secured an impressive All India rank of 142.
Shubham, a 29-year-old son of BCCL employee Hiralal Mahato, hails from Dumra Jamuatand in Dhanbad. His achievement has brought pride to his hometown.
Previously, Shubham had cleared the UPSC CSE twice, achieving ranks of 857 in 2023 and 606 in 2024. However, he was not satisfied with these results and decided to attempt the examination for a third time.
His years of hard work, dedication, and confidence have led him to success in the UPSC CSE once again. His family is proud of his achievement in this latest attempt.
In terms of education, Shubham completed his 10th grade at Chandrapura D-Nobili School and his 12th grade at DPS Bokaro. After intermediate studies, he earned a B.Tech in Mining Engineering from BHU, Varanasi, where he was a gold medalist. Following his graduation, he moved to Delhi to prepare for the civil services.
Shubham credits his success to his parents, particularly his mother, Manju Devi, who is thrilled with his accomplishments. He emphasizes that there are no shortcuts to success; it requires hard work. He advises UPSC aspirants and students to heed their parents’ advice, as they always have their children’s best interests at heart.
This year, Anuj Agnihotri topped the UPSC CSE, followed by Rajeshwari Suve M in second place and Ekansh Dhul in third. Raghav Jhunjhunwala secured fourth, Ishan Bhatnagar fifth, and Jiniya Arora sixth. The seventh position went to A R Raja Mohiddin, eighth to Pakshal, ninth to Aastha Jain, and tenth to Ujjwal Priyank.
