Mumbai, March 13: An old video of India’s beloved singer Shreya Ghoshal has gone viral on the internet. In this clip, she shares her experiences working with industry legends on the film ‘Vivah.’
The video was shared by ‘Laharein TV’ on Instagram, showcasing Shreya discussing the songs from the 2006 film ‘Vivah’ and her collaboration with renowned artists.
Shreya mentioned, “I have five songs in the movie, and there are more than five songs overall, all of which are duets. The music is beautiful. The composer, Ravindra Jain, wrote the songs himself, making it an interesting and challenging experience to work with him.”
She added, “I have worked with him many times before. Every song he writes is incredible. He is such a capable, talented, and great music director that when I go to sing for him, I surrender myself. I don’t have to think about how to sing the song. He explains everything so well, from the phrases to the composition, variations, and graphics. You just have to follow his directions.”
Shreya noted that while it was easy in some ways, it was also challenging as she couldn’t afford to make mistakes or stray from his ideas. Working with Ravindra Jain was a wonderful experience, and the entire team was fantastic.
She revealed that director Sooraj Barjatya provided her with the complete script before rehearsals, which is quite unusual. Typically, singers do not receive script narration, so she found it exciting to have a brief overview of the songs, making it a rich and rewarding experience. She learned a lot from this opportunity.
