Mumbai, March 13: Shiv Sena leader Krishna Hegde has expressed confidence that Prime Minister Modi will find a solution to the ongoing LPG crisis.
In a conversation in Mumbai, Hegde attributed the crisis to the ongoing conflict between Israel, Iran, and the United States in the Middle East, which has led to a surge in oil and gas prices. He noted that the cost of oil per barrel has risen, causing gas shortages and increased prices. The impact of the conflict is being felt not only in India but globally. During the COVID-19 pandemic, India not only overcame the crisis but also provided vaccines to several countries, saving countless lives. Commenting on the recent assassination attempt on former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah, Hegde described it as unfortunate. He stressed the need for enhanced security at private events, especially when political leaders are present. He condemned the incident and urged Abdullah to increase his security measures, advising caution when attending such events to avoid potential harm.
Regarding Home Minister Amit Shah’s remarks about Rahul Gandhi in Parliament, Hegde supported Shah’s statement that Gandhi often leaves for foreign trips during debates, showing a lack of seriousness. He criticized Gandhi for attempting to tarnish India’s image abroad, particularly during his visits to the United States and Germany. Hegde believes Shah’s comments were accurate and stands by them.
