
Samalkha, March 13: The All-India Representative Assembly of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) was formally inaugurated by RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale on Friday. The lighting of the ceremonial lamp marked the significance of this event, coinciding with the organization’s centenary year. During this milestone, RSS volunteers are actively engaged in expanding organizational outreach and strengthening social initiatives across the country. Representatives gathered here with great enthusiasm.
C.R. Mukunda, the RSS Joint General Secretary, noted that former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was also remembered, and a tribute was paid to him. Additionally, several prominent figures from the industry and cinema, including renowned actor Dharmendra, Tamil cinema personality M. Saravanan, and former Murugappa Group leader M. Velayan, were acknowledged. Mukunda emphasized that this is the centenary year for the RSS, and for the past two to three years, all members have been focused on expanding their branches and activities. Their collective efforts have resulted in increased branch presence.
The All-India Representative Assembly is being held in Samalkha (Panipat) from March 13 to 15 this year. Sunil Ambekar, the RSS All-India Publicity Chief, provided this information.
According to a statement from Ambekar, this assembly serves as the highest decision-making body for the organization. The annual meeting is taking place this year at the Gram Vikas and Seva Sadhana Center in Pattikalyana, Samalkha. Given that this year marks the RSS’s centenary, discussions will focus on various programs and campaigns, including the Vijayadashami festival, home outreach, Hindu conferences, youth gatherings, and meetings promoting social harmony. The assembly will also review the RSS’s activities from the previous year, highlighting special initiatives undertaken in different states.
