In her Instagram post, Shirodkar expressed her joy: “After 35 years, I’m back on the dance floor at the same school where I learned Kathak from Gopi Krishnaji. So many memories flooded back, and my heart is filled with happiness. I’m thrilled to be dancing again.”
The post resonated with many, including her sister and fellow actress Namrata Shirodkar, who responded with heart emojis in the comments.
Shilpa Shirodkar began her acting career in 1989 with the film “Bhrashtachar,” featuring Mithun Chakraborty and Rekha. However, she gained significant recognition for her role in “Kishan Kanhaiya.” After starring in M.F. Husain’s “Gaja Gamini” in 2000, she took a break from Bollywood.
Recently, Shirodkar made a comeback after 25 years in the supernatural thriller “Jatadhara,” where she played a complex character named Shobha, entwined in themes of greed and mysticism. The film features Sudheer Babu as Shiva and Sonakshi Sinha as the malevolent Dhann Pishachini.
