Mumbai, September 28 (Daily Kiran) : Sharbari Wagh, who began her career as an assistant director, is stepping into the spotlight as the lead actress in the family drama film “Ye Prem Mol Liya.” The actress credits Bollywood’s music and dance as her primary inspiration for pursuing acting.
Reflecting on her childhood, Sharbari stated, “Bollywood songs and dance are a major reason I wanted to become an actress. Growing up, I watched Madhuri Dixit in ‘Didi Tera Devar Deewana,’ and Karisma Kapoor and Sonali Bendre in ‘Maiyya Yashoda.’ I would come home and dance to these songs, imagining myself as that heroine on screen one day.”
These cherished moments fueled her love for Bollywood. She added, “I believe these experiences taught me to cherish the idea of Bollywood.”
Sharbari has always been drawn to the romance depicted in classic Bollywood songs. “I’ve always loved the romance, emotion, and magic that classic Bollywood songs bring to the big screen. The way a song and dance can narrate an entire story is captivating. So, experiencing this with Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Ye Prem Mol Liya’ feels incredibly special,” she shared.
“It’s like living a beautiful moment in the Bollywood world I grew up watching and dreaming about. I’m truly enjoying every moment of it,” she expressed.
The title track of “Ye Prem Mol Liya” was recently released, offering a glimpse into the film. However, further details about the movie are still awaited. Notably, the film marks the return of Rajshri’s iconic character ‘Prem,’ portrayed by Ayushmann Khurrana, to the big screen after 12 years.
