New Delhi, March 17: The Senior Asian Wrestling Championship will take place from April 6 to 12 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Selection trials have concluded, with female wrestlers Meenakshi Goyat, Hansika, and Mansi Lathar topping their respective weight categories. Additionally, male freestyle wrestlers Aman, Sandeep Singh Mann, Mukul Dahiya, and Greco-Roman style wrestlers Sachin Sahrawat and Sunil Kumar have also excelled in their weight classes.
Meenakshi Goyat, who has previously competed in the 50-kilogram category, recently shifted to the 53-kilogram category. She stunned everyone by defeating two-time World Championship bronze medalist Antim Panghal in the finals of the trials.
