Schoolgirls in Burhanpur Receive HPV Vaccine to Combat Cervical Cancer

Burhanpur, March 23: In Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh, an intensified HPV vaccination campaign has been launched to prevent cervical cancer. On Monday, several schoolgirls received the HPV vaccine at local health centers.

The vaccination drive is actively targeting girls aged 9 to 14 years, administering vaccines at health centers and schools throughout Burhanpur district. Health department teams are visiting villages and schools not only to conduct vaccinations but also to run awareness programs to dispel myths surrounding the vaccine.

According to health officials, the HPV vaccine is completely safe and effective. The campaign aims to vaccinate as many girls as possible over the next three months.

Student Ishita Patil stated, “I have received the vaccine to protect against cervical cancer. I believe all girls should get vaccinated for this important cause. I want to thank PM Modi for taking this step for our health.”

Another student expressed, “PM Modi cares about our health and has introduced this vaccine to help prevent cervical cancer. It will assist us in staying safe.”

Student Sakshi Solanki added, “Today, we received the cervical cancer vaccine. I want to tell everyone that this vaccine is safe and protects us from cervical cancer.”

Student Rajnandini Rathore urged, “We have taken the vaccine to prevent cancer. I appeal to everyone to get vaccinated.”

Field officer Vijay Kumar Soni from the health department mentioned, “A 90-day drive will be conducted in the district. We will identify girls aged 14 to 15 in both rural and urban areas for vaccination. We will also raise awareness among parents about the various misconceptions circulating on social media regarding the vaccine. Our goal is to provide the vaccine free of charge to every child.”
