Jaipur, August 12 (Kiran News). The Sapta Shakti Command, in collaboration with the CSIR–Central Building Research Institute (CBRI), Roorkee, organised a technical workshop on Modern Construction Practices & Emerging Technologies on Tuesday. The event also marked the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Third Party Technical Inspection (TPTI) for defence infrastructure projects.

Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander, Sapta Shakti Command, addressed the gathering and stressed the importance of quality infrastructure and housing in military organisations, calling them essential pillars of welfare. He highlighted the value of third-party supervision and specialised expertise in ensuring quality control and user satisfaction.
This collaboration with CBRI Roorkee reflects the Command’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of construction quality while incorporating sustainable and innovative technologies. Established in 1947, CBRI is a premier national research institute under CSIR, dedicated to advancing building science and technology for enhanced quality and sustainability in the construction sector.
The MoU, signed by the Army Commander, South Western Command, and CSIR–CBRI Director Prof. R. On the occasion, a booklet titled Empowering You, containing guidelines for essential construction services, was also released.
The day-long workshop featured talks by eminent CBRI scientists on best construction practices and emerging sustainable technologies, followed by interactive sessions with MES and infrastructure officials of the Sapta Shakti Command.
