Jaipur, October 12 (Udaipur Kiran) — The Sapta Shakti Command of the Indian Army organised a 6-kilometre Promo Run in Jaipur on Sunday as a prelude to the upcoming “Honour Run” scheduled for December 7, 2025. The event carried the theme — “Bhartiya Sena: Shaurya aur Balidaan ki Parampara” — celebrating the courage and sacrifice of India’s defence personnel.

The run was flagged off by Lieutenant General H.S. Vandra, Chief of Staff, Sapta Shakti Command, from Gandiv Stadium. The route covered key stretches along Queens Road and the Jaipur Military Station before concluding back at Gandiv Stadium.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from serving soldiers, veterans, families, and local citizens, symbolizing Jaipur’s deep respect and admiration for the Indian Army.
Promoting Fitness and Patriotism
The Promo Run aimed to honour the valour and service of Army veterans and soldiers while promoting fitness, wellness, and a sense of national pride among the public. The strong turnout reflected the emotional bond between the Army and the people, reinforcing the Army’s role as not just a defender of the nation but also a unifying force.
“Honour Run” Scheduled for December
The upcoming “Honour Run” in December will feature timed runs of 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km, inviting large-scale participation from across the region. The initiative underscores the Indian Army’s commitment to national integration, physical fitness, and public engagement through community outreach.
The Sapta Shakti Command continues to uphold its tradition of “Service Before Self”, fostering unity and respect for the Armed Forces through meaningful civilian-military collaborations.
