Kremlin Welcomes Zelensky for Talks Amid Ongoing Conflict

Kremlin official Yuri Ushakov invites Ukraines President Zelensky to Moscow for talks, asserting Russias openness to dialogue.

Moscow, November 1 (Daily Kiran) : Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov has extended an invitation to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to visit Moscow if he genuinely seeks dialogue. Ushakov emphasized that Russian President Vladimir Putin has never refused to engage in discussions with Zelensky.

Speaking to Pavel Zarubin of the Russian news agency TASS, Ushakov stated that Putin would answer a call from Zelensky if he were to reach out. “He will definitely talk. Putin has never turned down the opportunity for conversation,” Ushakov asserted.

The aide further noted that if Zelensky wishes to speak directly with the Russian president, he is welcome to come to Moscow. He observed that Zelensky has been sending messages through various channels, and if he truly wants to negotiate, a visit to Moscow is in order.

In the meantime, President Zelensky has reported another Russian attack, claiming that Russia is deliberately targeting Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. Over the weekend, strikes were launched on energy facilities in Dnipro, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, and Khmelnytskyi. Zelensky indicated that significant assaults on other critical infrastructure continue unabated.

According to a report from the Kyiv Post, President Zelensky is planning to engage with international partners to urgently secure between 10 to 30 air defense missiles from their reserves. During a press briefing in Istanbul on October 31, he discussed a strategy to address the critical shortage of weapons before winter sets in, noting delays in missile production under the U.S. procurement program.
