New Delhi, February 20: BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra commented on the protests by Youth Congress at the AI Summit, stating that India’s Gen-Z Congress will never be forgiven for their actions.

Patra expressed that there is significant anger among the youth, particularly within Gen-Z, and emphasized that the Gen-Z Congress’s actions are unacceptable. He criticized the protests as a mockery of India’s technological advancements, startup ecosystem, and the potential of its youth, which he believes goes against national interests.

In a strong rebuke of the Congress party, Patra described it as “topless, brainless, and shameless.” He accused Congress of failing to recognize that the AI Summit, which they protested against, was not a political event but a global gathering celebrating India’s achievements with leaders from around the world in attendance.

Patra referenced historical context, recalling how a photograph of Jawaharlal Nehru with a snake charmer projected a different image of India to the world. He argued that the current protests also aim to damage India’s modern and emerging technological image.

He stated that questioning India’s achievements while praising Pakistan is contrary to national interests. Patra condemned the protests as unfortunate and disgraceful, especially when the world was recognizing India’s contributions.

It is noteworthy that during the India AI Impact Summit held at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi, Youth Congress activists staged a protest. This demonstration briefly disrupted the event, with activists chanting slogans and removing their T-shirts to express dissent. Many prominent national and international figures were present at the summit when the protests occurred.

Security personnel had to intervene to manage the situation. The demonstrators were quickly detained and removed from the venue to maintain order at this high-profile international event, which included participation from government officials, industry leaders, and foreign delegates.
