Dhaka, March 13: The second ODI between Pakistan and Bangladesh is currently taking place at the Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium. After losing the toss, Pakistan batted first and was all out for 274 runs. Pakistani batsman Salman Agha lost his wicket due to what many are calling a “childish act.” Following a bizarre run-out, he had a confrontation with Bangladesh captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz.
During the 39th over of Pakistan’s innings, Mehidy Hasan was bowling. On the fourth ball, Mohammad Rizwan played a shot towards the front. The ball stopped near Salman’s feet. Despite being out of his crease, Salman bent down to pick up the ball. However, Mehidy Hasan quickly seized the opportunity, picked up the ball, and hit the stumps. Salman was declared run out as he was outside the crease when Mehidy threw the ball.
Salman Agha was visibly upset with Mehidy Hasan’s actions and confronted him on the field. In a fit of anger, he threw down his gloves and appeared quite displeased. The batsman also slammed his helmet to the ground as he made his way back to the pavilion after scoring 64 runs off 62 balls, including seven fours and two sixes.
Pakistan’s innings did not start well after losing the toss. Sahibzada Farhan and Majid Sadakat managed to score 103 runs for the first wicket in 12.6 overs. Farhan made 31 runs off 46 balls, while Sadakat played a brilliant innings, scoring 75 runs off just 46 balls. Shamil Hossain was dismissed for only 6 runs, and Mohammad Rizwan contributed 44 runs off 59 balls.
At one point, Pakistan looked strong at 231 for 3, but they collapsed, losing their next seven wickets for just 43 runs. For Bangladesh, Rishad Hossain took 3 wickets for 56 runs, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz claimed 2 wickets for 34 runs.
