RJD Leaders Criticize Security Cuts as Vengeful Politics

Patna, June 6: Former Chief Minister Rabri Devi and RJD Supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav have taken significant action in response to the reduction of their security. They have ordered all security personnel stationed at their official residence to return. RJD spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav has condemned this security cut, labeling it as a despicable act driven by vengeful politics. He stated that such actions are unacceptable in a democracy.

In an interview with a news agency, Shakti Singh Yadav claimed that the government has deliberately made extensive cuts to the security of the Lalu family. He pointed out that recently, Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav was involved in an incident where he was hit by a vehicle. Despite this, reducing security raises questions about the government’s intentions. He accused the government of attempting to weaken and intimidate the opposition.

Yadav emphasized that Rabri Devi, as a former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council, along with Lalu Prasad Yadav, who has also served as Chief Minister, should not face such cuts in their security. He questioned the government’s motives, suggesting they want to expose the entire Lalu family to danger. He accused the ruling party of engaging in politics aimed at eliminating the opposition.

He further noted that there has been a dispute over their residence, and now the issue of security has arisen. The roles of both the ruling and opposition parties are determined by the public mandate, and any attempt to weaken the opposition is against democratic values. He asserted that they want to obliterate the opposition and that the people of Bihar will not tolerate such an assault on their mandate.
