Bengaluru, August 12: Ridhima Dilawari made a remarkable return in the 12th leg of the Women’s Professional Golf Tour (WPGT) 2026, showcasing her skills at Prestige Golfshire on Wednesday. After securing three victories in the first six legs, she scored an impressive 5-under 67, establishing a solid three-shot lead over her competitors.
The golfer from Gurugram recorded six birdies and only one bogey during her round. Three players—amateur Kirtana Rajiv, Mannat Barar, and last leg’s winner Vidhatri Urs—tied for second place with scores of 2-under 70.
Kirtana achieved four birdies and two bogeys, while Mannat had three birdies and one bogey on the 18th hole. Vidhatri made one bogey on the first hole but managed to score three birdies, all on the front nine.
Veteran players Amandeep Drall, Neha Tripathi, and Shweta Man Singh, along with Angha Venkatesh, shared the fifth position, all scoring even par 72. Only eight players managed to finish the day at even par or better.
Another group of five players, including Heena Kang, Durga Nittur, Oviya Reddy, amateur Anushka Gupta, and Jasmine Shekhar, tied for ninth place with scores of 1-over 73.
Notable surprises included Vani Kapoor, who finished tied for 26th with a score of 76, and last week’s winner Sneha Singh, who ended up tied for 35th with a score of 78. Sanvi Somu, who has been active in the LET Access Series in Europe this season, scored 75 and tied for 21st. Sneha, who worked hard to break a long-standing winless streak, hopes to maintain her confidence in this leg of the tour, facing strong competitors once again at Prestige Golfshire, nestled at the foothills of the beautiful Nandi Hills.
This week, Sneha’s main rivals include Vani Kapoor, Vidhatri Urs, Order of Merit leader Ridhima Dilawari, Amandeep Drall, Durga Nittur, Heena Kang, Mannat Barar, Anvita Narender, and Jasmine Shekhar. Sanvi Somu is also making a return after gaining significant experience on the Ladies Access Tour in Europe. For Sneha, the challenge lies in maintaining consistent performance and ensuring that her comeback is a stepping stone towards greater success.
