Richa Chadha teams up with Sneha Khanwalkar for the title track of her series Musafiri, showcasing their creative bond.

Mumbai, November 3 (Daily Kiran) : Richa Chadha has teamed up with music composer and singer Sneha Khanwalkar for the title track of her non-fiction series “Musafiri.” Khanwalkar not only composed the music but also lent her voice to the song. Notably, Richa penned the lyrics herself, calling Sneha her lucky charm due to their long-standing collaboration on various projects.
In a statement, Richa expressed pride in calling Sneha her friend. “If India has a thousand stories, Sneha could find a soundtrack for all of them,” she said. Richa is particularly fond of the song’s playful vibe and its lullaby-like sweetness.
Reflecting on their shared history, Richa noted that her debut film, “Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!” was also Sneha’s first project. Furthermore, Sneha contributed a song to Richa’s first production, “Girls Will Be Girls,” and now she is part of Richa’s initial venture as a creator. “She truly is my lucky charm,” Richa added.
Sneha praised Richa’s unique voice and her effective use of her journalism background in “Musafiri.” She described the series as a captivating and entertaining exploration of places that viewers may have seen but never truly understood.
Sharing insights about the song’s creation, Sneha revealed that when Richa approached her for the title track, she initially crafted a basic rhythmic track and hummed some nonsensical words. Richa later wrote the lyrics to fit the melody, which Sneha then recorded. “Working with Richa is always enjoyable,” she remarked.
Sneha Khanwalkar gained recognition for her work on the music of “Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!” and both parts of “Gangs of Wasseypur.” She is notably the second female composer to receive a nomination in this category, following Usha Khanna, who was nominated 28 years ago.
