Saif Ali Khan Recalls His First Bike Ride with Kareena Kapoor: She Didnt Like the Ride, Maybe She Liked Me
Saif Ali Khan shares a humorous anecdote about his first bike ride with Kareena Kapoor during the filming of Tashan in Ladakh.

Mumbai, November 3 (Daily Kiran) : Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan recently shared a humorous story about his first bike ride with his wife, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan. This memorable incident took place during the filming of the 2008 film “Tashan” in Ladakh.
At that time, Saif and Kareena did not interact much, primarily meeting as co-stars. However, during a bike ride, something happened that still makes Saif chuckle.
Saif appeared on the popular quiz show “Kaun Banega Crorepati,” hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan, where he recounted the tale of that first ride with Kareena.
He explained, “In the early days of filming ‘Tashan,’ Kareena and I barely spoke. We were quite formal with each other. Someone suggested that I should invite Kareena for a bike ride since she loves motorcycles. I had rented a bike in Ladakh, where the roads were stunning. I often rode to the shooting locations with my headphones on. One day, I asked Kareena if she would like to join me for a ride, and she happily agreed.”
Once on the bike, however, Kareena’s demeanor changed. As Saif began to ride, she repeatedly dug her nails into his shoulder or back, urging him to stop. “She kept shouting ‘slow down, slow down,'” he recalled.
After a while, Kareena expressed her frustration, saying she did not enjoy the bike ride at all. “I was shocked. I thought if she didn’t like biking, what were we doing on the bike?” Saif noted. He added that during that time, they were starting to develop feelings for each other, even though Kareena was not a fan of the ride.
Their love story began on the set of “Tashan,” which also featured Akshay Kumar and Anil Kapoor in key roles. The filming brought them closer, transforming their friendship into romance. Saif and Kareena later collaborated on several films, including “Omkara,” “Kurbaan,” and “Agent Vinod,” before tying the knot in October 2012.
