
Hyderabad, May 22: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has directed officials from all departments to focus on generating additional revenue sources in line with the budgetary requirements for the current financial year. A high-level meeting of the ‘Resource Mobilization Cabinet Sub-Committee’ was held on Friday at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat under his chairmanship. The meeting was attended by committee members, including Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy and Information and Industry Minister Duddila Sridhar Babu.
During the meeting, ministers and officials conducted a detailed review of the search for additional revenue sources and the progress of various departments. The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that resource mobilization should be consistent with the proposed budget estimates for the financial year 2026-27. He instructed officials to fully utilize all available revenue sources to meet budget targets and prevent discrepancies in expenditures.
He further directed that all departments must work rigorously towards increasing revenue according to the predetermined timeline (calendar). Stressing the importance of weekly reviews, he stated that senior officials from all departments must attend meetings every Friday. In unavoidable circumstances, they may participate via video conference.
Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy instructed officials to take strict action against illegal activities that could harm the state treasury.
Officials informed the meeting that, as per the state cabinet’s directives, the revised (increased) market value (registration value) of land will be implemented statewide from May 28. This is expected to lead to a significant increase in revenue for the registration department. They also reported that the ‘HILT Policy Guidelines’ related to the industry department have been finalized, and relevant orders will be issued shortly.
In the high-level review meeting, ministers provided guidance to officials on the current progress of resource mobilization and future revenue targets across key departments, including Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA & UD), Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), Industry, Registration, Mining, Revenue, and Transport.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, R&B Special Chief Secretary Vikas Raj, Finance Principal Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Mining Principal Secretary Sridhar, Revenue Secretary Lokesh Kumar, TGIIIC Vice Chairman and Managing Director Shashank, and other senior officials.
