
Mumbai, March 29: Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Vijaypat Singhania, former chairman of the Raymond Group and Padma Bhushan awardee. He remarked that today marks the end of an era.
In a conversation with the media, Deputy CM Shinde stated that the demise of such a prominent figure in the Indian business landscape is a significant loss. Singhania had a profound connection with Thane and served the community with great sensitivity. “We have lost a great personality today. On behalf of the Maharashtra government and Shiv Sena, I pay my heartfelt tribute to him,” he said.
