Patna, August 18: Reactions have surfaced from various leaders following the Jharkhand government‘s decision to acknowledge the demands of protesting students regarding the examination controversy.
Bihar government minister Ramkripal Yadav stated that the Jharkhand government had to admit its mistakes. The protests were sparked by the manner in which appointments were made. The government has had to listen to the students. However, the demand for a CBI investigation is still being dismissed. “A CBI inquiry would clarify everything,” he added.
Bihar BJP president Sanjay Sarawagi congratulated the students, declaring their victory. He raised concerns about organized groups allegedly involved in paper leaks in Jharkhand. “What is the difficulty in conducting a CBI investigation? The future of students is at stake,” he emphasized.
BJP leader RP Singh supported the students’ call for a CBI probe, stating that while the cancellation of exams is a separate issue, it is crucial to investigate who was responsible for the alleged scam. He accused the Jharkhand Chief Minister of evading the inquiry.
BJP MP Karan Bhushan Singh remarked that the cancellation of the exams reflects the government’s inability to manage the situation and is a victory for the students. He insisted that a CBI investigation is necessary, citing the BJP’s zero-tolerance policy towards exam-related corruption, while accusing the Jharkhand government of trying to avoid scrutiny.
Aam Aadmi Party leader Priyanka Kakkar noted that the students conducted their protests peacefully and welcomed the government’s acknowledgment of their demands. “We stand with the students in every possible way,” she affirmed.
Samajwadi Party leader Ashutosh Verma pointed out that all TDL exams had already been canceled, including the JPSC 2023-24 and backlog exams. He reiterated that if any testing agency has been blacklisted, they should not be allowed to print exam papers until they clear their name.
