Muradabad, February 22: Senior Congress leader Rashid Alvi has responded to Union Minister Kiren Rijiju’s recent remarks, asserting that Rahul Gandhi is not a threat to the nation. He questioned, “If he is such a danger, why hasn’t he been arrested?”
During a media interaction in Muradabad, Alvi challenged Rijiju’s claims, stating that if Gandhi is indeed the most dangerous individual, the government should take action against him. “Your government is in power. Your statements reveal your administration’s incompetence. You lack the courage to act against someone you deem a threat. Such comments are merely meant to mislead the public,” he emphasized.
Alvi further asserted that the real threat to the country is the NDA government, not Rahul Gandhi. He noted that Gandhi referenced a magazine in the Lok Sabha, which the Indian government and BJP found unfavorable. “They do not want him to speak because it exposes their true nature. The entire nation is aware of what Naravane wrote in his book,” he added, criticizing the central government for not focusing on development.
Commenting on the Youth Congress‘s demonstration at the AI Summit, Alvi reiterated that the trade deal between India and the United States does not benefit the Indian populace.
Regarding Governor Arif Mohammad Khan’s statements, Alvi pointed out that Khan was critical of Prime Minister Modi before taking office, but his views seem to have changed since becoming governor. “The people of the country cannot trust his words,” he stated.
Alvi also supported Congress leader Digvijay Singh’s assertion that players should shake hands.
On the issue involving Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand, Alvi remarked that the Hindu community holds him in high regard. He condemned the filing of an FIR against him as a misguided administrative action and called for its withdrawal, emphasizing the respect he commands across the nation.
