
Rampur, October 10 (Daily Kiran) : The Uttar Pradesh government is making significant strides to enhance healthcare access for its residents, particularly for low-income families facing serious health challenges. In a notable achievement, Rampur has secured the top position in the state for the distribution of Ayushman cards under the Prime Minister‘s Jan Arogya Yojana.
Over the past year, Rampur has successfully issued 179,000 Ayushman cards. This accomplishment was recognized during a state-level event held at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, where Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Brajesh Pathak presented a certificate and a memento to Rampur.
District Magistrate Ajay Kumar Dwivedi emphasized that the focus is on delivering the benefits of health schemes to the most marginalized individuals in society, in line with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision. He noted that efforts are being intensified to expedite the card issuance process for eligible families under the Ayushman Bharat-PM Jan Arogya Yojana.
Through effective coordination among various departments and the successful implementation of campaigns, a large number of eligible residents have been connected to the scheme. During a public outreach event, the District Magistrate distributed Ayushman cards to beneficiaries suffering from serious illnesses and disabilities.
Among the recipients were Kevinder Singh, a cancer patient from Poyali Naik village in Tanda Tehsil, and Rajkumar Maheshwari from Milak Tehsil, who is scheduled for foot surgery. Additionally, 100% disabled individuals Hemraj and Premshankar from Swar Tehsil also received their Ayushman cards.
According to the District Magistrate, a total of 691,928 Ayushman cards have been issued in Rampur under the Prime Minister’s Jan Arogya Yojana. The district’s achievement of issuing 179,000 cards in the last year reflects the effective implementation of the scheme. The initiative aims to ensure that the benefits reach those who truly need them.
