
Mumbai, May 1: South cinema superstar Ram Charan’s highly awaited action drama ‘Peddi’ is gearing up for its theatrical release. On Friday, the filmmakers announced the release date of the film.
Actor Ram Charan shared the film’s poster on Instagram, stating, “’Peddi’ will hit theaters on June 4.”
Fans are visibly excited after seeing his post, eagerly discussing their anticipation in the comments section.
‘Peddi’ has been in the spotlight since its shooting phase, featuring impressive action sequences. During filming, Ram Charan sustained an injury above his eye while shooting an action scene, requiring four stitches. Fortunately, his eye is completely safe, and the injury was minor, allowing him to return to work quickly.
The film is directed and written by Buchi Babu Sana. Set against the backdrop of rural Andhra Pradesh in the 1980s, it tells the story of an enthusiastic villager who unites his community through sports. Alongside Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor plays a leading role. The film also features Shiv Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, and Jagapati Babu, further enhancing the significance of this much-anticipated project. Venkat Satish Kilaru produced the film under his production company Riddhi Cinema, in collaboration with the production house Mythri Movie Makers.
Previously, Ram Charan appeared in ‘Gamechanger,’ released in 2025, where he portrayed an honest IAS officer named ‘Ram’ battling corrupt politicians.
