Muzaffarnagar, August 12: Rakesh Tikait, the national spokesperson for the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), has announced a Tricolor Rally scheduled for August 13. He stated that the rally has already commenced and will continue until August 21.
Tikait emphasized that the Tricolor Rally, named the August Kranti Yatra, began on August 9. Different districts will hold their rallies on various dates. Participants are encouraged to carry the national flag along with the organization’s banner.
In a conversation, he mentioned that local communities can organize their rallies in their respective tehsils, blocks, towns, and villages, and a memorandum will be submitted to the administration. While Tikait will remain in Muzaffarnagar, others will participate in their local areas.
He urged participants to maintain order during the rally. Children joining the rally with tractors are encouraged to operate them in their fields as well. Tikait stressed that those who work their land will not sell it, ensuring a connection to their roots.
He advised participants to keep their tractors clean and maintain their farming tools. The purpose of this rally is to promote cleanliness among farmers regarding their equipment and to honor the martyrs and revolutionaries in Delhi.
Tikait called for everyone to join the rally with their tractors. He urged participants to submit memorandums to local administrations, demanding issues like Minimum Support Price (MSP) and loan waivers. He questioned the visibility of crop insurance offices, noting that they are located in Mumbai, while farmers struggle to receive their dues.
