Rajasthan Government Transfers 18 IPS Officers in Major Reshuffle

Jaipur, July 15: The Rajasthan government executed a significant reshuffle in the police administration late Tuesday night, transferring 18 IPS officers. This move includes changes at the level of two officers holding the rank of Director General (DG), along with the Commissioner of Police in Jodhpur and the Inspectors General (IG) for Ajmer and Bharatpur ranges.

New Superintendents of Police (SP) will be appointed in four districts. Notably, the SP of Balotra, who gained attention during a refinery accident, has also been transferred from field duty. The Jodhpur Commissioner has been changed in less than five months.

Anil Paliwal has been moved from the position of DG (Training and Traffic) to DG and Commandant General of Home Guards in Jaipur. Senior IPS officer Malini Agarwal has been appointed as DG (Police Traffic), having previously served as DG and Commandant General of Home Guards. Additionally, Pradeep Mohan Sharma has been transferred from the Intelligence Training Academy in Jaipur to the Jaipur Police Commissionerate as Additional Police Commissioner (Traffic and Administration).

Ajay Singh Rathore has been reassigned from ASP (Kishangarh Circle) to the Commandant of the 7th Battalion RAC in Bharatpur. Anushtha Kalia has been moved from ASP (Bikaner Sadar) and DCP (Headquarters) to the Jaipur Police Commissioner’s office.

The reshuffle also includes changes in two prominent IG positions. Rajendra Singh, IG of Ajmer Range, has been transferred to Jaipur as IG (Vigilance). Kailash Chand Bishnoi, IG of Bharatpur Range, has been moved to Jaipur as IG (Police Modernization and Welfare).

Dr. Ravi, currently IG (Police Modernization and Welfare), will become the new IG for Ajmer Range. Dr. Preeti Chandra has been promoted to IG of Bharatpur Range from IG (Law and Order).

Another change has occurred at the Jodhpur Police Commissioner’s office. Sharat Kaviraj, who was appointed as Jodhpur Police Commissioner on February 23, has been transferred in less than five months. He will now serve as IG (Crime Branch).

Senior IPS officer Anshuman Bhomia will be the new Commissioner, currently serving as IG (SSB). The SP of Balotra, who gained notoriety due to the refinery incident, has also been transferred. SP Ramesh will now serve as SP (Human Rights and Vulnerable Sections) in Jaipur. Rajesh Kumar, currently DCP (Headquarters) in Jaipur, will become the new SP of Balotra.

PD Nitya, the SP of Jodhpur Rural, will now assume the role of ACB SP in Jodhpur. Pankaj Yadav will replace Nitya as the SP of Jodhpur Rural; he is currently the Commandant of the First RAC Battalion in Jodhpur. Pratapgarh SP B. Aditya has been appointed as SP of Hanumangarh, while Hanumangarh SP Narendra Singh Meena has been transferred to Bikaner as Commandant of the 10th RAC Battalion.
