Actor Tusshar Kapoor Targeted with ₹5 Crore Extortion Threat from Lawrence Bishnoi Gang

Mumbai, November 3 (Daily Kiran) : Bollywood actor Tusshar Kapoor has reportedly been targeted with a ₹5 crore extortion demand linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The threat came in the form of a phone call from an unknown number, during which the caller identified himself as Harry Boxer, a member of the notorious gang.

Upon receiving the threatening call, Kapoor promptly informed the Mumbai police. Recognizing the seriousness of the situation, authorities initiated an immediate investigation. The case has been assigned to both the Anti-Extortion Cell and the Crime Branch.

According to police sources, the Crime Branch’s technical team has thoroughly analyzed the audio recording of the call received by Kapoor. They compared it to existing audio samples of Harry Boxer in their database. Senior officials from the Mumbai police indicated that the two audio samples did not match, raising suspicions that the call may be a hoax. Authorities believe that a prankster may be using the Bishnoi gang’s name to instill fear.

Currently, police are on the hunt for the individual who made the call. They are tracing the call’s location and collaborating with the cyber cell to determine whether this is the act of a rogue individual or part of a more organized effort.

Tusshar Kapoor comes from a prominent family in the film industry. He is the son of veteran actor Jeetendra and producer Shobha Kapoor, while his sister, Ekta Kapoor, is a well-known producer in television and film.

Kapoor has appeared in films like “Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai,” “Kya Dil Ne Kaha,” “Jeena Sirf Mere Liye,” and “Yeh Dil.” However, he gained significant recognition for his roles in comedy films such as the “Kya Kool Hai Hum” series and the “Golmaal” franchise. His serious performance in the film “Shor in the City” also received considerable acclaim.
