Jaipur, March 26: Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma will preside over an all-party meeting today at 4 PM at the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) to discuss the LPG supply situation. This meeting underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring uninterrupted cooking gas supply across the state.
Officials from the Chief Minister’s Office confirmed, “The all-party meeting will take place at 4 PM under the Chief Minister’s leadership. The Chief Minister is serious about ensuring a smooth supply of LPG gas, and discussions regarding its distribution will be held.”
Meanwhile, the opposition urged the Rajasthan government on Wednesday to convene an all-party meeting to address the LPG crisis in the state.
Opposition leader Tikaram Julie expressed deep concern over the energy and fuel crisis, stating that people in the state are desperate for gas. The lack of these essential services has made life difficult for the common man.
Julie questioned whether the Chief Minister should not have called an all-party meeting during such a critical time to collaboratively find solutions to the LPG crisis.
Earlier, the state’s Food and Civil Supplies Minister, Sumit Godara, chaired a high-level review meeting via video conferencing with departmental officials and representatives from oil and gas marketing companies.
He assured the public that there is no shortage of domestic gas cylinders in Rajasthan. Sufficient stock is available, and LPG cylinder bookings are being delivered within three to four days.
Godara urged citizens to disregard rumors and clarified that international developments have not impacted LPG supply in the state. He noted that a temporary surge in online bookings had briefly affected the server, but the system has now stabilized, and bookings are proceeding normally.
The minister has issued strict enforcement directives to curb irregularities in distribution and ordered a complete halt to LPG cylinder deliveries without OTP verification and proper diary entries.
He also mandated that delivery personnel must carry and present identification during deliveries. Emphasizing long-term solutions, Godara called for prioritizing the expansion of PNG connections in areas where pipeline infrastructure is already in place.
He added that state and district-level monitoring committees are actively working to prevent black marketing, manipulation, and illegal storage of LPG cylinders. Most gas agencies have already been inspected, and he instructed that the remaining inspections be completed within 24 hours.
The all-party meeting today, chaired by CM Bhajanlal Sharma, will include representatives from various political parties. Key leaders such as Joga Ram Patel, Sumit Godara, Jogeshwar Garg, Shrichand Kripalani, Tikaram Julie, Ramkesh Meena, Rajendra Pareek, Jeeva Ram Chaudhary, Ashok Kothari, Manoj Nyangli, Subhash Garg, and Thawar Chand will be present to discuss important state matters.
