Uttarakhand CM Criticizes Oppositions Artificial Parliament Move
Uttarakhands CM Dhami criticizes the oppositions attempts to elevate Rahul Gandhi, calling it an artificial parliament amid election tensions.

Udham Singh Nagar, November 3 (Daily Kiran) : Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami criticized the Congress and opposition parties during a press conference on Tuesday, stating that they failed to make Rahul Gandhi Prime Minister even in their so-called ‘artificial parliament.’ His remarks came in the context of a symbolic ‘people’s impeachment’ action organized by the INDIA alliance against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
Speaking to reporters in Udham Singh Nagar, Dhami accused individuals rejected by the public of being restless without power and attempting to create chaos in the country. He emphasized that Diwali, a major festival for Hindus and followers of Sanatan Dharma, should not be marred by protests that harm small businesses. He claimed that, according to the Delhi High Court, such disruptions have led to losses exceeding ₹20,000 crores.
Targeting the Gandhi family, Dhami noted that Rahul Gandhi and his family had long dominated the country’s parliament. Now that the public has ousted them from power, they have resorted to organizing an ‘artificial parliament’ at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence. He pointed out that even at this gathering, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was unable to elevate Rahul Gandhi to Prime Minister.
The INDIA alliance conducted the symbolic impeachment action to address alleged irregularities in voter lists and other issues under a Special Intensive Review (SIR) framework. Following that, the opposition coalition held a ‘Delhi Chalo’ rally at Ram Leela Maidan, where Rahul Gandhi criticized Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
Gandhi accused Kumar of committing ‘vote theft,’ labeling it a severe crime that falls under the ‘rarest of the rare’ category in legal terms. He alleged that Kumar facilitated the removal of 13.5 crore names from the voter lists and manipulated Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) to steal votes. Gandhi asserted that Kumar’s actions on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah amounted to treason and a theft of every citizen’s voice.
He further stated that both the Chief Election Commissioner and the Prime Minister must face consequences for their attacks on the Constitution and democracy.
