Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma Visits Thiruvananthapuram for BJP Nominations

Mumbai, March 21: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma arrived in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday as part of his tour during the ongoing assembly elections in Kerala.

He participated in the nomination ceremonies for four BJP candidates: Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the Kerala BJP president and Nemom assembly candidate; V. Muraleedharan, the Kazhakootam assembly candidate; P.K. Krishnadas, the Kattakada assembly candidate; and R. Shilekha, the Vattiyurkavu assembly candidate.

While addressing the gathering, Sharma expressed confidence that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the people of Kerala would support BJP candidates to realize the dream of a ‘Developed India – Developed Kerala.’

He emphasized that these candidates reflect the aspirations of the public and will lay a strong foundation for good governance and development in the state. Sharma further stated that the people of Kerala are determined to bring about change this time.

During his visit, the Chief Minister also went to the BJP state headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram, where he paid floral tributes to the statues of Deendayal Upadhyaya, Syama Prasad Mukherjee, and P. Parameswaran.

Earlier, Sharma worshipped at the prestigious Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple, seeking blessings for the welfare and prosperity of the people.

Upon his arrival in Thiruvananthapuram, BJP workers gave him a grand welcome.

The Election Commission has issued the official notification for the Kerala assembly elections. Nominations can be filed until March 23; the scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on March 24, and the last date for withdrawal is March 26. Voting is scheduled for April 9.

The Chief Minister’s presence underscores the BJP’s efforts to strengthen its organizational base in the southern state, where the party aims to expand its reach in the upcoming elections.
