New Delhi, December 6. As IndiGo continues to cancel a large number of flights, passengers are facing significant difficulties in travelling from one place to another.
In response to this situation, Indian Railways has released a list of special trains to ensure that no passenger faces any inconvenience during their journey. The railway authorities have issued a comprehensive list containing the names and numbers of all trains being operated for passenger convenience.
The special trains primarily include routes such as Pune-KSR Bengaluru, KSR Bengaluru-Pune, Pune-Hazrat Nizamuddin, Hazrat Nizamuddin-Pune, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminal-Hazrat Nizamuddin, Hazrat Nizamuddin-Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Lucknow Charbagh, Lucknow Charbagh-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Nagpur-Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus-Nagpur, Gorakhpur-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Bilaspur-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Bilaspur, Gorakhpur-Anand Vihar Terminal, Anand Vihar Terminal-Gorakhpur, and New Delhi-Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan Udhampur Vande Bharat.
Additionally, other major trains have been included in the list, featuring routes like Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan Udhampur-New Delhi Vande Bharat, New Delhi-Mumbai Central, Mumbai Central-New Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin-Thiruvananthapuram Central, Chermpalli-Shalimar, and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Gorakhpur.
It may be noted that IndiGo Airlines faced a serious crisis at the beginning of December. Due to new pilot duty regulations that came into effect from November 1, there was a shortage of pilots. As a result, over one thousand flights had to be cancelled on December 5, including all domestic flights from Delhi. Hundreds of passengers were stranded at airports in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, luggage piled up, and passengers staged protests.
Meanwhile, other airlines doubled their fares. The government ordered refunds to be completed by December 7 and provided relaxation in night duty rules. It is believed that the situation will normalise soon.
