Patiala, July 11: Punjab’s Health Minister and Aam Aadmi Party MLA, Dr. Balbir Singh, is facing increasing legal challenges. The Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court in Patiala has issued summons to Dr. Balbir Singh, his son Rahul Saini, and four other individuals in the case of ‘Shweta Jindal vs. Dr. Balbir Singh (MLA).’
According to the summons, this case is related to the Tripri police station in Patiala. The court has directed all accused to appear before the CJM court in Patiala on July 20. They are required to attend either personally or through their authorized legal representatives.
The summons were issued under Section 223 of the Indian Citizen Security Code (BNSC). The court emphasized that the presence of the accused is essential for the judicial process to proceed. If they fail to appear on the scheduled date, further legal actions may be taken as per the law.
The six individuals summoned include Punjab’s Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh, his son Rahul Saini, office in-charge Jasbir Gandhi, Municipal Corporation Ward No. 14 councilor Gurkripal Singh, mobile shop owner Gurpreet Singh, and Aam Aadmi Party Punjab.
The summons addressed to Dr. Balbir Singh state that his presence is required to respond to charges of a punishable offense under Section 223 of the BNSC. Therefore, he has been instructed to appear either personally or through a lawyer before the Chief Judicial Magistrate.
The next hearing in this case is scheduled for July 20 at the CJM court in Patiala. Following the court’s directive, all parties involved must participate in the judicial process on the specified date.
