New Delhi, 08 December (Daily Kiran) – The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee has suspended leader Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu from the party’s primary membership with immediate effect. The order was issued by party president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring.
The office order released by the party stated that Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu has been suspended on disciplinary grounds. The order is dated 08 December 2025 and was issued from the Punjab Congress headquarters in Chandigarh.
It is notable that a recent statement by Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu sparked a political controversy. She had said that the party does not have Rs 500 crore to secure the Chief Minister position for Navjot Singh Sidhu. Following this statement, the party leadership took a strict stance.
So far, the Congress has not released any detailed official explanation regarding the reasons for her suspension.
