BJP Showcases Strength in Gorakhpur Ahead of Upcoming Elections

BJP leaders, including Nitin Naveen, rally in Gorakhpur to strengthen party presence before state elections.

Gorakhpur, November 4 (Daily Kiran) : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a significant rally in Gorakhpur on November 4, showcasing its political strength ahead of the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. The event, titled “Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy,” marked the first visit of BJP National President Nitin Naveen to Gorakhpur. The campaign was launched at Maharana Pratap Inter College, attended by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, state president Pankaj Chaudhary, and other senior party leaders.

A large number of party workers and supporters from 12 districts in the Gorakh region reportedly participated in the rally. Nitin Naveen arrived at Gorakhpur Airport from Delhi, where he was welcomed by Chief Minister Adityanath before proceeding to the Circuit House and then to the public meeting.

The rally saw significant participation from the minority community, who carried placards proclaiming “Modi hai, Modi rahega.” Leaders and workers from allied parties, including the Nishad Party, also joined the event. During the gathering, Pankaj Chaudhary criticized the Congress party, suggesting it needs to reflect on its position. He pointed out that in the recent MLC elections, Congress managed to win only one out of 28 seats across the country. He highlighted that Congress has been out of power in Uttar Pradesh for 37 years, in Tamil Nadu for 59 years, in Bihar for 36 years, and in Gujarat for 31 years.

Chaudhary emphasized that the campaign aims to protect democracy, uproot anarchy, and expose conspiracies against the nation. He accused opposition parties of attempting to discredit electoral processes by raising questions about EVMs and constitutional institutions after defeats. He further alleged that some young protesters in Delhi were misled, with one even mentioning a desire for regime change influenced by events in Bangladesh.

Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan also targeted the opposition, asserting that the march is against anti-national forces and groups that seek to incite riots and bombings in temples. He criticized Rahul Gandhi, claiming he still struggles to accept Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister.

Dr. Sanjay Nishad, national president of the Nishad Party, warned of forces attempting to destabilize India and mislead the public through chaos. He noted the positive changes in Gorakhpur, contrasting the previous atmosphere of disorder with the current progress of Uttar Pradesh as a leading state.
