Pathankot, September 19 (Daily Kiran) : Jagdambika Pal, a BJP MP, has strongly condemned the stone-pelting incident targeting former Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu’s convoy near Pathankot. Speaking at an event in Siddharthnagar, he accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of resorting to violence in politics, asserting that such actions have no place in a democratic system.
Pal emphasized Bittu’s stature as a senior BJP leader, hailing his family’s long-standing commitment to the nation’s unity and integrity. Bittu was on his way to address a rally when the attack occurred.
The BJP MP also addressed the deteriorating situation in Punjab, highlighting the alarming issue of drug abuse among the youth. He called for effective measures to protect young people from the drug menace.
Describing the stone-pelting as a “disgraceful and condemnable act,” Pal stated that the manner in which the convoy was attacked is unacceptable. He expressed confidence that the public would respond to such political tactics.
The attack on Bittu took place while he was traveling near Ghaseetpur village, close to Batala in Punjab.
In a separate event in Siddharthnagar, Pal participated in cow service at a goshalas (cow shelters). He remarked that cow service should extend beyond just caring for cattle, linking it to the broader concept of serving humanity and ensuring the protection of living beings.
Pal noted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, initiatives have been taken to establish goshalas in districts, blocks, and villages to safeguard cows and livestock. He underscored that cow service and livestock protection are crucial issues tied to rural development.
