Mumbai, October 22 (Daily Kiran): Global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas celebrated Diwali 2025 in New York this year, choosing to share the festival’s warmth and beauty with people who were experiencing it for the first time.
The actress took to social media to post glimpses from her Diwali celebration, where she looked radiant in a red traditional outfit. Her husband, Nick Jonas, complemented her in a cream embroidered sherwani, while their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, adorably twinned with her father in a matching frock.
Priyanka’s mother, Madhu Chopra, also joined the festivities, and the celebration featured several of the couple’s close friends—many of whom were celebrating Diwali for the first time.
From Malti helping decorate the house and taking part in the Lakshmi puja, to children enjoying temporary tattoos, the celebration reflected a blend of Indian tradition and family warmth.
Sharing snippets of the event on Instagram, Priyanka wrote, “A little bit of this and so much of that. This Diwali was full of heart and love. Sharing this festival with people who haven’t discovered its beauty was the highlight this year—especially Malti’s friends.”
She added, “Happy Diwali to everyone celebrating. May this new year bring you love, joy, prosperity, and happiness.”
Earlier on Monday, the actress also shared a heartwarming picture from Malti’s own Diwali party at their U.S. home. The photo showed Malti dressed in a yellow outfit with pigtails, standing with friends and showing off a cute temporary tattoo on her arm. Priyanka captioned it, “Malti’s Diwali party was lit…” with fire and earthen lamp emojis.
The posts have since gone viral, with fans showering love on the family’s warm and joyful celebration of India’s festival of lights abroad.
