The event was attended by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, LG VK Saxena, Union Ministers of State for Road Transport and Highways Ajay Tamta and Harsh Malhotra, and Delhi government ministers Parvesh Verma and Kapil Mishra.

At the beginning of the programme, Nitin Gadkari welcomed Prime Minister Modi by presenting a Radha Krishna idol made of sandalwood. Following this, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta delivered the welcome speech, thanking the Prime Minister for all the new developments Delhi has received.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, in his address, thanked Prime Minister Modi for leading India to become a global leader and credited him for the advanced development of indigenous technology.

The first highway project is the Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway. This highway is 10.1 kilometres long and has been built at a cost of about ₹5,360 crore. It connects Yashobhoomi, the Metro Blue and Orange lines, the upcoming Bijwasan Railway Station, and Dwarka Bus Depot. One section stretches from Shiv Murti Chowk to Dwarka Sector-21, and the other from Dwarka Sector-21 to the Delhi-Haryana border. The Haryana section was already opened in March 2024.

The second highway project is the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II), which runs from Alipur to Dhichau Kalan. This highway is 33 kilometres long and has been constructed at a cost of around ₹5,580 crore. It connects Delhi with Bahadurgarh and Sonipat. This will reduce traffic on Delhi roads and facilitate the easy movement of goods trucks. It will also make travel faster and easier. The load on major intersections such as the Inner and Outer Ring Roads of Delhi, Mukarba Chowk, Dhaula Kuan, and NH-09 will decrease. This project will accelerate and simplify the movement of goods and make life easier in the NCR region.
