Prime Minister Modi Engages with Coimbatore Students in Exam Discussion

New Delhi, February 9: Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with students from Coimbatore during the second episode of the ninth edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha.’ He expressed admiration for the energy and curiosity of Tamil Nadu’s students.

At the beginning of this episode, PM Modi noted that this year’s program is unique. Many students had suggested that ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ should take place in various parts of the country. In response, he decided to engage with students from different regions, starting with those in Coimbatore.

While addressing the Coimbatore students, PM Modi shared, “For many years, I have been conversing with students from classes 10 to 12 through ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha.’ I learn from them. Whenever I meet people, they talk about startups.”

He emphasized the importance of knowing one’s goals. For instance, some startups focus on technology. If friends excel in different fields, students can collaborate to launch a small startup.

PM Modi offered valuable advice, stating, “Discipline and motivation are both crucial in life. Without discipline, no amount of inspiration will be effective. Discipline is essential; it complements inspiration. Without it, inspiration can become burdensome and lead to disappointment.”

In response to a student’s question about balancing studies and passion, PM Modi advised, “Do not separate your studies from your passions. For example, if you are interested in art but studying a science topic, start creating related artwork. This way, you can practice both.”

When a student asked how young people can contribute to a ‘Developed India,’ PM Modi praised the question. He expressed happiness that school students are thinking about this concept. He stated, “To create a ‘Developed India’ by 2047, we must not only talk but also adopt the habits of developed nations.”

He provided examples, such as maintaining cleanliness and adhering to rules. “If I do this, it means I am contributing,” he concluded.
