President Murmu Highlights the Vital Role of Civil Servants on Civil Service Day

New Delhi, April 21: On the occasion of Civil Service Day, President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan extended heartfelt wishes to all civil servants and praised their contributions. They emphasized that civil servants are the crucial link that builds trust between the government and the public, driving the nation’s development forward.

President Murmu took to social media platform X to express, “On Civil Service Day, I extend my warm wishes to all civil servants. Your commitment continuously strengthens accountable governance and fortifies public institutions. From crafting innovative, future-oriented, and citizen-centric policies to their effective implementation at the grassroots level, your work profoundly impacts the quality of life for millions.”

She further stated, “As India progresses with new aspirations, your integrity and sensitivity will play a vital role in addressing shortcomings, promoting inclusivity, and reinforcing trust between the state and its citizens. Maintain the highest standards of public service and continue to make meaningful contributions towards building a more equitable and progressive nation.”

Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan also shared his wishes on social media, saying, “On this Civil Service Day, I extend my heartfelt greetings to all civil servants and express my sincere appreciation for your dedication and exemplary service to the nation. Your efforts are crucial in strengthening governance and delivering public services to every citizen.”

He highlighted, “This year’s theme, ‘Developed India: Citizen-Centric Governance and Development at the Last Mile,’ aligns with the vision of a developed India by 2047. It underscores the government’s commitment to transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric governance, with a special emphasis on reaching the last mile and inclusive development.”

Radhakrishnan expressed his eagerness to deliver the keynote address at the Civil Service Day ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. “Let us all celebrate this day with joy and continue to work together towards building an inclusive and developed India,” he added.
