Raipur, October 13 (Daily Kiran) : President Droupadi Murmu is set to visit Chhattisgarh on October 22 and 23. During her trip, she will participate in various events in Raipur and Jagdalpur. The Chief Minister, Bhupesh Baghel, extended a special invitation for her to attend the internationally renowned Bastar Dussehra Festival, which is the basis for her visit.
Officials have confirmed that the President will take part in programs at Lok Bhavan in Raipur and the Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in Budhapara. Additionally, she will attend the famous “Murya Darbar” at Lalbagh Ground in Jagdalpur, as well as the main public event of the Bastar Dussehra.
In preparation for this high-profile visit, the Chief Secretary has given clear instructions to the district collectors of Raipur and Bastar divisions regarding necessary arrangements. The district collectors, police commissioners, and superintendents have been tasked with ensuring smooth security convoys and road travel from Swami Vivekananda Airport (Raipur) and Maa Danteshwari Airport (Jagdalpur) to all major event venues.
Arrangements for distinguished guests accompanying the President have also been outlined, including high-level accommodations. A crucial coordination meeting was held on Monday at Lok Bhavan in Raipur to finalize all necessary preparations for the President’s visit, chaired by the Governor’s Secretary, C.R. Prasanna.
Officials meticulously reviewed the arrangements at the Lok Bhavan complex during the President’s stay. Discussions covered seating arrangements for various events, parking for the President’s convoy and accompanying vehicles, uninterrupted power supply, and internet connectivity throughout the premises.
Security measures were thoroughly evaluated, with clear instructions issued to relevant agencies to maintain effective coordination. Final arrangements for transportation of the President and her entourage were also confirmed to ensure seamless movement during the visit. Formal directives were issued to all responsible officials regarding various aspects of the trip.
