Preity Zinta Celebrates Karwa Chauth in the U.S., Questions the Missing Moon

Mumbai, October 29 (Daily Kiran) : Bollywood actress Preity Zinta is observing the Karwa Chauth fast for her husband, Gene Goodenough, while living in the United States. However, she is facing a challenge as cloudy skies prevent her from seeing the moon.

Taking to social media, Zinta expressed her concern, asking, “Is it just me, or has the moon disappeared? Has anyone seen the moon on the East Coast? My Karwa Chauth fast is ongoing, and the moon seems to be playing hide and seek behind the clouds.”

The actress lives in Los Angeles with her husband and children and frequently shares glimpses of her personal life on social media. Preity married financial analyst Gene Goodenough in a private ceremony in Los Angeles in February 2016. The couple welcomed twins, Jai and Gia, through surrogacy in November 2021.

Since becoming a mother, Zinta has often shared how her priorities have shifted. She strives to balance her career with raising her children. In September, she provided fans with a peek into her efforts to manage work and personal responsibilities. She shared photos from her long journey back home to be with her twins on their first day of school.

“I flew in from the other side of the world to attend the first day of school. I couldn’t miss it for anything,” she wrote on social media. Her posts included a selfie taken on the flight and a view from the airplane window, showcasing her busy life as she juggles personal and professional commitments between the U.S. and India.

Preity recently made her acting comeback with the film “Bantwara 1947,” a period drama directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan. She also appeared in the film “Vibe,” directed by Kunal Khemu, where she played the character ‘Madam H’. The spy comedy features Kunal Khemu and Sparsh Srivastava alongside her.
