Beneficiaries in Jamnagar Celebrate Their Dream Homes Thanks to PM Modis Housing Scheme

PM Modis housing initiative transforms lives in Jamnagar, offering secure homes and new opportunities to economically weaker families.

Jamnagar, October 29 (Daily Kiran) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s PM Awas Yojana-Urban 2.0 is making significant strides in improving the living conditions of economically weaker families in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Beneficiaries are sharing their stories of how this initiative has brought them security, happiness, and new opportunities.

Rajendra Bhai, a resident of Mohan Nagar near Gulab Nagar, faced severe challenges living in a dilapidated house that often leaked during the rainy season. After learning about the PM Awas Yojana, he received financial assistance that enabled him to construct a stable home. He expressed his gratitude, stating that the new house has made his family happy and improved their quality of life.

In an interview, Rajendra Bhai recounted the difficulties he faced in his old home, especially during the monsoon. His financial situation was dire, but with a loan of four lakh rupees from the scheme, he was able to build a solid house — something he never thought possible. He has been benefiting from various government programs under Modi’s leadership for the past 25 years, starting from when Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. He emphasized that this scheme should reach all those in need.

His wife, Mayuri, echoed his sentiments, noting that their previous home was temporary and inadequate. Upon discovering the scheme, they seized the opportunity. “Prime Minister Modi has done a wonderful job. Our dream of owning a solid house has come true,” she said, reflecting on their newfound stability.

Another beneficiary, Manishbhai Hiralal Solanki, also from Mohan Nagar, used to deliver milk door-to-door to support his family. With the help of the scheme, he built his own house, which has allowed him to expand his livelihood. Today, he runs a dairy shop where customers come to buy milk, marking a significant step toward self-sufficiency.

Manishbhai expressed his appreciation for the PM’s initiative, highlighting the struggles his children faced in their previous makeshift home, which would often flood. He is grateful for the assistance provided by PM Modi.

Mamata Solanki shared that government programs have consistently supported her family. Previously, they lived in a small, inadequate house, but after learning about the housing scheme, they were able to upgrade to a better home. Her family is now in a significantly improved situation, and she also expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Modi.

The PM Awas Yojana-Urban 2.0 provides financial support to eligible economically weaker urban families to help them build their homes. The initiative aims to fulfill the dreams of home ownership, provide safe housing, and enhance the overall quality of life for its beneficiaries.

For the residents of Jamnagar, this scheme represents more than just housing; it brings respect, security, and hope for a brighter future. Their stories illustrate the positive impact housing assistance can have on the lives of economically disadvantaged families.
