Pravisht Mishra Talks About His Role as Krishna in Bareilly Ke Bachchan

Mumbai, June 20: TV actor Pravisht Mishra is currently seen in the show ‘Bareilly Ke Bachchan.’ The series portrays the story of a family entangled in the relationships, dreams, and daily struggles of Uttar Pradesh. In a recent interview, Mishra shared his experiences and preparations for his role.

Discussing the show, Pravisht Mishra stated, “For me, this show represents a story rooted in my homeland. Showcasing the culture and identity of Uttar Pradesh on television is a matter of pride. When an artist brings their own state’s story to the screen, they approach it with greater responsibility.”

He added, “I am from Prayagraj, so I have a good understanding of the language and culture of Uttar Pradesh. However, the character’s language and style differ slightly from my own city. Bareilly has a unique flavor in its dialect, with distinct words and ways of speaking. I had to prepare separately to understand and portray this character accurately.”

Mishra explained, “I participated in a workshop focusing on Bareilly’s dialect, pronunciation, and local conversational styles. During this process, I also tried to grasp the words and emotions involved. I believe that merely memorizing dialogues is not enough; understanding the essence of the language is crucial for making the character feel authentic.”

He continued, “Growing up in Uttar Pradesh made it easier to connect with my character. Krishna’s thoughts, his connection to family, and his emotional world resonate with my own life experiences. This connection allows me to portray my character naturally.”

Talking about the storyline of ‘Bareilly Ke Bachchan,’ he said, “It revolves around a family where only men live, attempting to navigate life without a woman. They manage their lives in their own way, often relying on ‘jugaad’ (a creative solution). Their lives take a complete turn when a girl named Sangam enters their world, bringing about a new twist.”

In the show, Pravisht Mishra plays the character Krishna, while actress Ramnik Kataria portrays Sangam. The series airs on Colors TV and JioCinema.
