Political Turmoil Erupts Over Maharashtra PSC Paper Leak Case

Latur, July 29: A political storm has erupted over the alleged paper leak case involving the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC). A case has been filed against Congress state president Harshvardhan Sapkal, following a controversial social media post. The complaint was lodged by Aausa MLA Abhimanyu Pawar, prompting police action.

MLA Abhimanyu Pawar claims that despite having no connection to the paper leak, attempts were made to tarnish his image through social media posts. Based on this complaint, the Aausa police have registered a case against Harshvardhan Sapkal, igniting a new debate in state politics.

On Tuesday, Sapkal posted on the social media platform ‘X’, questioning, “Is Devendra Fadnavis the mastermind behind the MPSC paper leak case? Sources indicate that the MPSC (Food and Drug Inspector Recruitment) paper leak has connections reaching the Pune Municipal Corporation office. Notably, suspicions are now directed towards the former PA of the Chief Minister and current BJP MLA Abhimanyu Pawar.”

In his post, Harshvardhan Sapkal further stated, “During Fadnavis’s tenure as Chief Minister, there is an urgent need for a fair investigation into the mega recruitment portal scam of 2017-18, along with the Talathi Recruitment – 2023; MHADA; police recruitment; forest department recruitment; soil and water conservation department recruitment, and the current food and drug inspector recruitment scam under his leadership. The Congress party will not rest until those who have shattered the dreams of millions of students and their families in the state are exposed.”

In another social media post, Sapkal criticized, “The BJP government has commercialized the education sector, devastated the industrial sector, and reduced the dreams of youth to ashes. Under the BJP government, a shadow of paper leaks has fallen over NEET, TET, and now MPSC, which repeatedly undermines the hard work of students. They have no right to remain in power.”

Sapkal also remarked in another post, “Despite evidence of paper leaks, recruitment scams, and grading irregularities, the government remains silent. This silence deepens the suspicion.”
