Chennai, October 11 (Daily Kiran) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay shared the stage at a significant event in Chennai, sparking political reactions regarding Tamil Nadu‘s future. BJP leader and actress Kasturi, along with TVK leader Dr. M. Satyakumar, emphasized the importance of this collaboration for the state’s growth.
Kasturi expressed her views, stating, “Tamil Nadu is fortunate to have a Prime Minister who takes such a keen interest in the state’s affairs. Unlike other regions, we do not have a BJP government here, yet we receive personal support and blessings from the Prime Minister, evident in both his and the Chief Minister’s speeches.” She also addressed the issue of pending state funds, suggesting that more careful consideration is needed. “I believe the Chief Minister should conduct further investigation before reaching any conclusions regarding Tamil Nadu’s outstanding payments,” she added.
Dr. Satyakumar praised Chief Minister Vijay’s governance style, noting, “The people of Tamil Nadu have great trust in my leader. He works diligently every day, and we can see the results. This is not like the previous government, where we had to personally request proposals.”
Describing the event as a significant success, Dr. Satyakumar highlighted that it marked the launch of projects worth approximately ₹13,000 crores. “This is no small amount, but it is not enough for Tamil Nadu. The Chief Minister has stated that we need a strong state, and for that, financial assistance is essential,” he remarked.
The event in Chennai conveyed a message of coordination and federal cooperation between the central and state governments, featuring the inauguration and foundation laying of development projects exceeding ₹13,000 crores.
