Kullu, October 11 (Daily Kiran) : Central Health and Family Welfare Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda launched a sharp critique of the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh during a conference in Patlikuhal, Kullu, on Sunday. He accused the state administration of misgovernance, financial mismanagement, and delays in key development projects.
Nadda claimed that under Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s nearly four-year rule, the state has faced administrative chaos, flawed policies, and ineffective use of funds provided by the central government. Despite receiving substantial financial assistance from the Narendra Modi-led government, the state has failed to complete several important projects on time, he asserted.
He also criticized Sukhu for repeatedly blaming the central government for neglecting Himachal Pradesh. Nadda emphasized that the central government has extended significant support in infrastructure, healthcare, railways, highways, industrial development, and welfare initiatives.
Whenever questioned about development, Nadda stated that Sukhu tends to shift the blame to Delhi. He stressed that the real issue is not a lack of funds but the state government’s inability to manage development projects effectively.
Furthermore, Nadda accused the Congress government of stalling development activities, closing educational and healthcare institutions, and delaying projects initiated during the previous BJP administration. He noted that the residents of the state are suffering due to administrative failures and misplaced priorities.
In light of the recent local body elections, Nadda congratulated BJP-supported candidates for their performance, which he interpreted as a growing public support for the BJP and dissatisfaction with the Congress government. He claimed that BJP candidates won 11 out of 17 wards in the Dharamshala Municipal Corporation and 12 out of 14 wards in Mandi. Additionally, he stated that BJP-backed candidates secured 190 out of 251 district council seats, showcasing the party’s strong performance in Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti, and other districts.
Celebrating the BJP’s significant victories in all four seats of the Manali region, he remarked that these results boost the party’s morale and highlight the importance of maintaining close connections with the public.
Looking ahead to the 2027 assembly elections, Nadda expressed confidence in the BJP’s organizational strength and urged party workers to intensify grassroots activities, enhance public outreach, and stay connected with local communities.
