New Delhi, February 15: In a significant breakthrough in the fight against crime, the Bawana police have arrested three suspects during a shootout in the national capital.
According to reports, the suspects had chased and shot a businessman, resulting in his immediate death. Following this murder, police formed multiple teams to locate the assailants. The situation escalated when a member of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the murder on social media. Subsequently, police conducted raids on potential hideouts linked to the gang.
Late Sunday night, Bawana police received information that the suspects were approaching near the Moolak Nahar area. Acting swiftly, the police cordoned off the area. Shortly after, three suspicious young men appeared. When the police signaled them to stop, the suspects attempted to flee and opened fire on the police team.
In response, the police returned fire. Amid the exchange of gunfire, they managed to apprehend all three suspects. Fortunately, no police officers were reported injured during the encounter. Weapons were recovered from the suspects.
These three individuals were wanted in connection with the recent public murder of a businessman in the Bawana area, which had created a climate of fear in the locality.
Currently, police are interrogating the suspects, and further investigations are underway. Officials have stated that the entire network will soon be revealed.
Additionally, the Delhi Police Crime Branch team had previously engaged in a shootout in Shakurpur, injuring two suspects, including the gang leader Asad.
Delhi police officials confirmed that the injured suspects were also wanted in a murder case in Meerut, which stemmed from a personal rivalry. Furthermore, these criminals have multiple other criminal cases registered against them.
