PM Modi Urges Swift Action Against Black Marketing and Hoarding

New Delhi, March 23: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Lok Sabha on Monday, emphasizing the need for unity in facing challenges similar to those encountered during the pandemic. He stated that we must remain prepared, demonstrating patience, restraint, and a calm mindset to tackle every obstacle. This is our identity and strength, and we must also stay vigilant and cautious.

PM Modi highlighted that opportunists would attempt to spread falsehoods during such times. He urged all state governments to take action against black marketers and hoarders, who become active in crises. Immediate measures should be implemented wherever complaints arise.

He reiterated that the safety of Indians during crises has always been a top priority. Since the onset of the conflict in West Asia, over 372,000 Indians have returned safely to India. Recently, 1,000 Indians returned from Iran, including more than 700 students pursuing medical studies. Thousands of Indian students are currently studying in Gulf countries. The CBSE has canceled all Class 10 and 12 examinations in Indian schools abroad to ensure continuity in students’ education.

PM Modi assured that all Indian missions in affected countries are actively assisting citizens, whether they are workers or tourists. Regular advisories are being issued, and 24-hour control rooms and emergency helplines have been established in India and other impacted nations to provide timely information to all Indians.

He concluded by stating that when every government and citizen of the country works together, we can overcome any challenge.
