PM Modi to Address Youth at Khelo India Dialogue on August 27

New Delhi, August 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the ‘Khelo India Dialogue’ via video conferencing on August 27 at 11 AM. The initiative aims to connect youth with India’s sports journey, share aspirations, and generate ideas for a strong, developed India led by the youth.

This event, organized by Mera Yuva Bharat as part of National Sports Day 2026 celebrations, will take place across two colleges in every district nationwide, engaging youth from states and union territories. The program aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of a fit, disciplined, and sports-centric nation. It will place the hopes of the youth at the heart of the national development agenda.

The Khelo India Dialogue will bring together sports, youth leadership, civic responsibility, volunteering, fitness, and nation-building on a common platform. It will provide a direct channel for youth to connect with the country’s sports ambitions, ensuring their ideas and perspectives are part of the ongoing discourse in India’s youth and sports ecosystem.

Following the national program, local discussions will involve young participants, My Bharat volunteers, local athletes, and public representatives. A significant feature of this initiative is the direct interaction between interested youth and renowned Indian athletes and medal winners. A special youth dialogue will invite young participants to share their ideas, perspectives, and hopes.

The discussions will focus on five key themes. First, improving India’s sports ecosystem through better facilities, coaching, sports science, and inclusive participation. Second, promoting talent for the 2036 Olympics through the identification of scientific talents, transparent selection, and long-term athlete development. Third, fostering youth leadership through governance platforms and My Bharat volunteering. Fourth, empowering youth for a developed India by cultivating civic thinking, future-related skills, and structured volunteering. Fifth, promoting a drug-free youth campaign that utilizes sports and peer networks to combat addiction, reinforced by weekly community engagement activities under the Prime Minister’s 100-week nationwide campaign launched on August 2, 2026.
