On social media platform ‘X’, PM Modi stated, “On Wednesday, I chaired the 52nd ‘Pragati’ meeting, where we reviewed infrastructure projects worth over ₹30,000 crore. These initiatives will accelerate economic growth, connectivity, and industrial progress. The meeting highlighted the importance of using the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan for timely project completion. Other topics reviewed included the ‘TB Free India Campaign’ and complaints related to cybercrime and digital arrests.”
Earlier, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) reported that four significant infrastructure projects related to roads, electricity, industrial corridors, and metro rail were reviewed during the meeting. These projects, costing nearly ₹30,000 crore, span across four states and are crucial for economic development, regional connectivity, industrial progress, and public welfare. The review focused on timelines, coordination among various agencies, problem-solving, and ensuring timely completion.
According to the PMO, the Prime Minister noted that delays in infrastructure projects not only increase costs but also deprive people and industries of timely benefits. He instructed the relevant ministries and state governments to resolve pending issues in mission mode and ensure continuous monitoring at the highest level.
PM Modi stressed the importance of the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan for effective planning and timely implementation of infrastructure projects. He highlighted the need for regular and timely updates on project details, utilities, infrastructure layers, approvals, and other regional information on the portal. He stated that the latest ground-level status should be visible on the platform to identify obstacles early and improve coordination among various agencies, enabling decisions based on reliable and real-time data.
The Prime Minister reviewed the TB Free India Campaign and emphasized the need for utilizing the latest digital technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI). He suggested forming a team of NCC cadets and ‘My India’ volunteers for awareness, patient follow-ups, and community engagement.
PM Modi also reviewed complaints related to cybercrime and digital arrests. He expressed concern over the increasing misuse of digital platforms to defraud citizens and stated that such cases should be addressed in a coordinated, sensitive, and timely manner by all relevant agencies. He emphasized that citizens should not have to navigate from one department or agency to another for solutions. He also stressed the need for clear accountability, quick responses, improved coordination among law enforcement agencies, banks, and digital platforms, and strengthening public awareness campaigns.
The Prime Minister highlighted that timely action is crucial to prevent financial losses in cyber fraud cases and to restore public trust. He urged all stakeholders to work together to strengthen prevention, reporting, investigation, and grievance redressal mechanisms. He also mentioned that states should work towards implementing an e-Zero FIR system to ensure quick registration and response to cyber fraud cases.
